David Ringsell

For over a decade I’ve partnered with training centres and corporate teams across the UK and Europe to deliver high‑impact technical training. My focus is helping organisations upskill their developers through clear, practical, and engaging courses—whether delivered onsite or virtually via Teams or Zoom.

I specialise in Python development (introductory to advanced), machine learning, AI‑driven development workflows, and modern software engineering practices. I also have extensive experience delivering courses in C#, JavaScript, HTML, SQL Server development and administration.

Many of the delegates I train speak English as a second language, and I’m known for my ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly, patiently, and accessibly.

I design and develop my own training materials, and I frequently customise content to meet specific client requirements. When centres prefer to use their standard materials, I adapt quickly and deliver confidently.

Training centres I’ve worked with often describe me as reliable, flexible, and easy to work with—someone who can be trusted to deliver consistently excellent training with minimal oversight.

I’m currently offering expanded AI and machine learning courses, including practical sessions on GitHub Copilot and AI‑assisted development workflows.

Andy Olsen

Andy is a freelance instructor and consultant based in Swansea, South Wales. He began his programming career as a C developer back in the mid-80s and transitioned into C++, Java, and .NET as the years passed by. Today, Andy is very active in web development including Azure, Angular, ASP.NET Core and Java EE. As well as delivering TALKIT’s technical training for programmers, he is also currently engaged in various Big Data technologies including Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Spring Cloud Dataflow.

Qualifications:

• BSc Physics, University of Southampton

Interests: Andy enjoys running (with frequent coffee stops) and skiing. He also follows the Swans (Swansea’s football team) and is actively involved in his local church in Mumbles.

Trisha Cochrane

Trisha is a Business Psychologist and professional coach and has been working alongside TalkIT for a couple of years, assisting David Ringsell with the strategic direction of TalkIT’s programme of technical training for programmers.

She spends part of her professional life helping organisations to select the right people for the job, and the other part helping people to develop their management, leadership and strategic skills. With over 25 years’ experience in the field, she has worked in many industries, across the private and public sectors.

Through her coaching practice, Trisha allows her clients space to think and to make sense of the world around them and within them.  She describes coaching as a dialogue – a process of both exploration and discovery that enables new insights and perspectives to be gained, resulting in lasting change.
